MAM 2591 Mushroom Knife
The Portuguese knife maker MAM was founded in 1870 by Manuel Antonio Martins. His work in the company is now followed by the 5th generation of the family. It is therefore a family business with a strong reference to tradition
Production takes place directly in Portugal and still contains a high proportion of manual labor.
The quality of the MAM knives is also underlined by the fact that the manufacturer offers a 10 year warranty on its products.
Individual manufacturing processes and some design solutions are protected by patents. A unique feature is the knife lock, which is very functional and reliable.
Steel for knife production comes from Germany. Its hardness reaches 57-59 degrees of Rockwell’s scale.
The wooden handle of the closing knives gives the user a specific feel completely different from the knives with the plastic handle. Beech is most commonly used for production. Exotic bubinga with its dark brown up to red color is also very popular and smooth olive is also on offer.
