*Special Order* Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed LR Rifle

The new X-Bolt 2 Speed LR SR has the performance-driven features of the Speed rifle and is ready for use with an optional suppressor. The lengths of the fluted sporter contour barrels have been optimized and run 2″ longer than standard lengths (to a maximum of 26″) for added bullet velocities. The muzzle is belled to accommodate the larger 5/8″-24 suppressor-ready threading. A radial muzzle brake and thread protector cap are included, and an optional Browning Recoil Hawg Sporter muzzle brake for extra reduction in recoil can easily be added. The action is bedded and the barrel is free floated for consistent accuracy. The barrel specifications make this rifle an excellent choice for both hunting and long-range practice sessions.

Whether you are a hunter or an aspiring competitor, if you are looking for extra magazine capacity, the Speed LR delivers with the new Plus Magazine system. It uses our proprietary Plus Magazine — a single stack, extended design — that holds 5 or 6 rounds depending on the cartridge. The Plus Magazine system retains the shoulder holding feature of the X-Bolt rotary magazine and uses the same center feed design — two features designed prevent damage to the tips of bullets in the magazine under recoil or when loading to the chamber. The Plus Magazine system has easy insertion and ejection with a convenient side mounted release button.

The Cerakote Smoked Bronze finish is applied to the redesigned action and barrel for metal protection that exceeds traditional bluing or stainless steel. The DLX Trigger is a three-lever design that offers zero creep, zero take-up, and zero overtravel performance and comes preset from the factory at 3.5 pounds. (Adjustable down to 3.0 pounds.)

The lightweight Vari-Tech composite stock features 3-way adjustment, the concealment of Browning OVIX for excellent concealment in a variety of terrain and environments, and the new, thicker Inflex recoil pad.

With the Vari-Tech stock, Browning has a configurable stock with adjustment that is on par with many chassis-style stocks. Adjustments can be easily made to the comb height to dial-in the alignment between your eye and optics. Length of pull is adjusted internally with spacers for a solid, rattle-free feel. Even the grip angle can be changed by switching between the sporter and vertical grip modules. On the subject of grip, rubber overmolding on the gripping surfaces provides added security in all conditions.

When hunting, fractions of a second can determine success or failure. When fit to your dimensions, the Vari-Tech stock creates a rifle that feels like an extension of your body so you can get an accurate first shot off sooner and have faster, more accurate follow up shots.

IMPORTANT TWIST RATE NOTE: In 2018 faster twist rates were added to select calibers and the twist rate is indicated on the barrel next to the caliber.  The 6.5 Creedmoor and 26 Nosler became 1-7”.  The 300 Win Mag, 7mm Rem Mag and 28 Nosler became 1-8”.  Prior to 2018 the 6.5 Creedmoor and 26 Nosler were 1-8”; the 28 Nosler was 1-9”; the 7mm Rem Mag was 1-9.5” and the 300 Win Mag was 1-10”.
