The Mossberg FLEX 500 Pump-Action Shotgun features Mossberg’s TLS, Tool-less Locking System, which enables shooters to rapidly switch stocks, fore-ends, and recoil pads by using a single receiver as the core component for a wide array of shotgun configurations. The Waterfowl/Security combo comes with a vent-rib, ported waterfowl barrel, threaded for screw-in choke tubes; and a shorter, non-ribbed security barrel with a bead sight and fixed cylinder bore choke. Barrels, receiver, and the tubular magazine feature an FDE finish. A fiber-optic front sight and mid bead on the waterfowl barrel are easily aligned in dim light. The combo also comes with interchangeable stocks: a synthetic buttstock and forearm in Realtree MAX-4® camo; and a black pistol grip and forearm, featuring 3 integral accessory rails on the forearm. Both configurations have sling swivel studs. The ultra-reliable Mossberg FLEX 500 pump-action shotgun uses dual action bars, dual extractors, an anti-jam shell elevator, and a large locking lug for a solid steel-to-steel, bolt-to-barrel connection. Shooters can reach the top-mounted safety quickly with the thumb of either hand, making it naturally ambidextrous.
