The H&K USP (Universal Self-loading Pistol) was designed for the American market, but has gained popularity internationally for its reliability. Designed with law enforcement and military operators in mind, the USP has superb ergonomics and precision and is extremely reliable, rugged, and consistent. The modified Browning locking system with a patented recoil reduction buffer system greatly enhances the shooter’s ability to stay on target for follow up shots.
The USP is available in 10 variants. Variant 1 features include a Double Action/Single Action trigger system and a Decocking/Safety Lever located on the left side of the gun, accessible by the thumb. This allows the pistol to be carried in SA “cocked and locked” or in DA, with or without the manual safety engaged and with the benefit of a decocking lever.
